3055 Sutherland Ave, Knoxville, TN 37919
Hartford Score 70/75
This is a place that needs no introduction, so I'll get right down to it. This restaurant is a tiny hole in the wall, and that's the first hint that it's fantastic. It's been a staple of Knoxville for years and it's honestly a must-visit if you're stopping through. We walked in and were seated by Liz, the owner of the establishment (that's involvement right there). We sit down and give the waitress our bottle of wine. That's one thing to note: they have a BYOB policy and charge a $3/person cork fee. Upon her return, she takes our order. Within 10 minutes, our food is being put in front of us and we're eating. From walking in to walking out, we were there for 45 minutes tops. That's efficiency, plain and simple. I got the chicken alfredo, a classic Italian restaurant dish. The chicken was tender and juicy, the sauce was to die for. I had a sore throat when I came in. One bite of that pasta and it doesn't hurt so much anymore. Was it the chicken alfredo? Draw your own conclusions. Overall: food was fantastic, decor can be seen in my photos, and there's no question that the family cares about their restaurant. As stated above, 70/75 on the Hartford scale. I'll stake my reputation as a reviewer on the fact that you'll love this place.
